Explore the exciting world of dyeing with ice to create mesmerizing designs!

Learn the fundamentals of this captivating textile technique as you create one-of-a-kind patterns using ice, powdered fiber reactive dyes, and a little bit of patience! Bring your curiosity and a willingness to experiment, and leave with a newfound appreciation for the enchanting world of ice dyeing.

We will review two types of ice dyeing, one on a rack to let the ice melt fall through and one “in the muck”. Students will leave with their items in sealed containers along with rinse and wash instructions to complete at home after 24+ hours.

What's Included:
- 2 hours of guided instruction
- All prep items, dye, and ice
- Gloves, masks, and aprons
- Included dyeable items: one kitchen towel (28in x 28in) and one cotton tote bag (substitutions available during the session)
- Containers and bags to transport items home

Additional dyeable items will be available for purchase at the event. Students are also able to bring a small item from home to dye (natural fibers like cotton are best).
