Discover the playful, tactile world of printmaking in this approachable intro workshop! We’ll guide you step-by-step through designing, carving, and printing your own custom block so you can experience the magic of pulling your first print.

You’ll start by transferring a provided design—or your own sketch—onto a soft carving block. With expert guidance, you’ll learn how to safely use the carving tools to bring your artwork to life. Once your block is ready, head over to the inking station to roll on ink and print your design onto paper. Make a small series to take home, share, or frame.

It’s a relaxed, creative session perfect for anyone curious about trying something new and leaving with art they’re proud of.

What's Included:
- 2 hours of guided instruction
- All materials including the use of carving tools, brayers, inks, etc.
- Your carved block and printed pieces to take home!

About the Instructor:
Olivia Yuen is a local printmaking artist and sells work through her company, Liv Handmade. Her work is inspired by several subjects including the natural world, botany, and her cultural heritage. When she isn't creating her own work, Olivia has a day job as an art teacher in Phoenix.
