Perfect for this spooky time of year, during this workshop you will learn the Japanese shibori resist technique “kumo” — literally translated spider! This technique involves multiple rubberbanded “legs” to create your spider and then results in an all-over web design once dyed and revealed.

Shibori is a Japanese dyeing technique that involves folding, twisting or bunching cloth to create resist patterns. Once the fabric is bound, we’ll use a fiber-reactive dye to get a deep dark blackish color to set the design in a high-contrast colorway!

What's Included:
- 1.5 hours of guided instruction
- Binding materials
- Dye materials including gloves and take-home bags
- 2 cotton floursack kitchen towels (28in x 28in)
