Create your own adorable sunset scene while exploring this freeform embroidery style.
Using single strands of thread you’ll be introduced to thread painting as you blend your colors together and create your mini scene. You’ll be learning this ‘no actual paint involved’ technique from our thread painting expert, Kate Hughes, who will guide you through transferring your pattern, picking your colors, stitching, and finishing off your piece.
What's Included:
- 2 hours of guided instruction
- Stitch Kit (embroidery hoop, fabric, needle, thread)
- 1.5" Round Mini Frame for finishing
About the Instructor:
Kate Hughes is a contemporary embroidery artist. She has been creating hyper-realistic, intricate embroidery pieces stitched using many layers of thread, in a style referred to as “thread painting” since 2015. She finds inspiration in nature + popular culture for her original artwork in addition to client commissions + teaching embroidery workshops. She lives and works out of her home studio here in Phoenix, Arizona.
