Learn to crochet a classic granny square—one of the most recognizable and versatile patterns in crochet!

In this hands-on workshop, we’ll start with a quick overview of crochet tools and the double crochet stitch, then walk through the simple pattern that forms the traditional granny square. Once you understand the rhythm of the pattern, you’ll begin stitching your own square and see how each round builds on the last.

Granny squares are a timeless crochet staple and can be combined later to create blankets, bags, garments, and more.

New to crochet? Limited time will be spent covering crochet foundations. If you’d like a deeper introduction to the fundamentals first, we offer an Intro to Crochet workshop.
